Q: Have you taken a career lab before and which one?

“I did the child development and criminalistics lab.”

Q: Which one’s been your favorite so far?

“I like the criminalistics one because of the fingerprints and putting the magnet in the dust.”

Q: This time you’re doing the flight & drone technology. Why did you want to do this one?

“My uncle makes drones. He works with people that work with drones. I liked it because I like playing with his drones when I go to his house.”

Q: Do you have a career field you are interested in after school?

“I want to be a dental hygienist, but if I can’t do that I want to work with kids that have autism and helping the little kids because I think I’m really good with my little cousins and my friend’s younger cousin. He has autism and I taught him words. When he goes down the slide, he goes “Weeee.”

Q: Is there anything upcoming this year with A Step Beyond or in your own life that you’re really excited for?

“Arise! Concert. I’m in Ms. Araceli’s and Mr. Jesus’s dance pieces.”

Q: Why is Arise your favorite?

“I like creative dances. El Alebrije is more like theatre. I like Arise because it’s like more dancing.”

Q: What’s your favorite genre of dance?

“Hip hop or ballet.”

Q: Do you have any goals for this year?

“I want to get my grades up.”

Q: Do you have a favorite school subject?

“Either science or math. I like math. I like the numbers.”
