Under the general direction of the Academic Director, the Academic Advisor will be responsible for providing year-round academic advising support to a caseload of up to 80 high school students in grades 9-12. The Academic Advisor will directly support students in individual advising, post-secondary workshops, applying for scholarships, developing individual academic plans, leading specific events, and is the main liaison for high school programming.
Dance Teaching Artists will be responsible for designing and implementing dance classes as well as supporting the mission of A Step Beyond by participating in staff meetings and supporting additional events and opportunities when available. This position is a dance instruction position that includes additional pay for administration support.
Under the general direction of the Academic Director, the Intervention Specialist will lead an after school classroom experience for students ages 8 to 12, grades third through sixth and be responsible for providing high quality instruction to up to 100 students through targeted individual and small-group reading intervention to help improve student achievement. The Intervention Specialist will directly support students in reading and math, developing individual academic plans, leading specific events, and is the main liaison for elementary school programming.
Under the general direction of the Director of Philanthropy, the Development & Marketing Associate will support fundraising and communications activities across multiple platforms. This role is hands-on, entrepreneurial, analytical, and results driven.
