A Step Beyond (ASB) is excited to announce a new partnership with Project Next that will expand college and career readiness support for high school students participating in ASB’s holistic program.
For years, A Step Beyond has been a transformative force for young people across North San Diego County. Through tuition free, year round dance education, academic support, and family services, ASB helps students build confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of belonging. Project Next, a North County-based nonprofit, shares that same commitment to helping students discover their strengths and prepare for life after high school.
Beginning this month, Project Next will bring its Future Center programming directly to A Step Beyond students. Through individualized coaching, small group workshops, postsecondary planning, financial aid guidance, resume and interview preparation, and career exploration opportunities, students will receive personalized support to help them navigate their next steps with clarity and confidence.
By combining A Step Beyond’s artistic, academic, and family programming with Project Next’s structured career coaching model, the partnership creates a more comprehensive pathway for students. Together, the organizations are helping young people translate their talents, passions, and dedication into meaningful opportunities after graduation.
“This partnership allows us to bring our work into deeper alignment so that young people and families experience a more coordinated network of support. By combining the strengths of Project Next and A Step Beyond, we are expanding resources, strengthening pathways for youth, and ensuring that care, opportunity, and artistic excellence remain at the heart of everything we do.”
Jennifer Oliver, A Step Beyond
Both organizations are committed to empowering students and expanding opportunities for young people across the region. This partnership reflects a shared vision of ensuring students graduate not only with confidence and skills, but with a clear path toward their future.
