A Step Beyond’s College & Career Ready Funds:

Details and how to make a gift

A Step Beyond has started two separate funds at the Rancho Santa Fe Foundation to support our students beyond their tenure in ASB’s key program. Read about them below

About A Step Beyond’s College & Career Ready Scholarship FundA Step Beyond (ASB) holds a non-endowment agency fund at the Rancho Santa Fe Foundation for the purpose of providing scholarships to deserving ASB students for the furtherance of their education upon high school graduation into an accredited college or university, career school (trade school), or certificate program. The intention of ASB’s Scholarship Fund is to ensure the success of our graduates after high school and to “fill the gaps” in college, certificate program, or trade school financial assistance that our students may be experiencing. Scholarship monies are limited to tuition, books, student housing, food, school supplies, and other educational fee requirements. ASB scholarship recipients will be selected through an online application process and a review by ASB staff and our Board’s Scholarship Advisory Committee. ASB scholarships will provide up to $2,500 per year for the selected student recipients for up to five years.

About A Step Beyond’s College & Career Ready Supplemental Aid FundA Step Beyond (ASB) holds a non-endowment agency fund at the Rancho Santa Fe Foundation for the purpose of addressing time-sensitive, unexpected financial emergencies experienced by our graduates which, if not quickly addressed, could cause them to drop out of college/trade school/certificate programs. The intention of ASB’s Supplemental Aid Fund is to ensure the success of our graduates after high school and to help them complete their post-secondary education. Supplemental Aid Fund monies are limited to expense emergencies such as housing, utilities, food, clothing, emergency travel to home or school, school supplies, books, laptop computers, or other development opportunities. ASB graduates that experience an unexpected financial crisis may submit a one-page application to the organization on a rolling basis. These applications are reviewed by ASB staff, approved by the CEO, and reported to the Board of Directors. ASB supplemental aid funds will provide up to $1,500 per year for students in an accredited college, certificate, or trade school program.
